Local Updates/Announcements:
1. Players in Lower Makefield Township now have a new way to get on the court.
Club organizers created a new Lower Makefield Township Pickleball Club membership program, allowing players to reserve courts and times for this spring and summer.
"The new Membership will have many more perks than we previously had with our Township MeetUp Group, which will disband on March 3, 2024," read a statement from Lower Makefield Township. "Members will use our new Court Reserve App for easier playtime management, back-end support from dedicated support staff, and member discounts on lessons and special pickleball-related events.
"Events and group lesson information will be announced in the spring."
Here's how to sign up for the Lower Makefield Township Pickleball Club:
2 . Middletown Township Pickleball Club for 2024 is now open for registration!
You will need to start by creating an account. When you get to the site there is a button to the top right that says “Create Account”. Fill out the required information and choose your membership type. There are two prices, one for residents ($42 for the year) and one for nonresidents ($63 for the year). You will need to read and sign both waivers and then select the appropriate membership type and pay via credit card. This membership covers both the Middletown Senior Center and Firefighter’s Park locations.
We have worked with many local pickleball groups to put together a schedule that includes when most everyone is interested in playing. There is a combination of hosted, unhosted, and differing skill-level play slots built into this year’s schedule. Once you are a member you can follow the following instructions to pick the play times you are interested in.
You can register for the club by going to the following link:
